COLUMBUS - Professional wrestling fans were in a for treat Saturday night, as the MWA wrestlers came to town to show off some of their moves.
An estimated 250 people were able to attend the spectacle at Ag Park. Columbus native Devin Thomas was the first to take the ring and it was obvious that he was the crowd favorite. Thomas was able to win his match.
Shane Sanders is a part of a championship tag-team duo. One big reason he has success at wrestling is that he loves what he does.
“I get to beat people up. That's pretty much it, a lot of aggression gets to be taken out,” says Sanders.
Sanders partner Logan Rixx says the fact that the duo formed their team together is the reason they have championship belts to their name.
“This company likes to throw random people together and call them a tag-team. Me and him actually had the conscious decision to form a tag-team. We travel together, we work out together, four years we've been tagging together. So not only do we have a similar look, we're a cohesive unit and we're actually friends,” says Rixx.
Some of the profits from Saturday night's event went to the Team Jack charity.
