COLUMBUS - If you are looking to add to your book shelf, this may be the weekend to do it.
The Friends of the Columbus Library are having a “Super Book Sale” over the next few days, where you can find many different types of books for very low prices. Hardbacks are $1 with nearly everything else being only 25 cents.
The sale started on Thursday and goes until Sunday with a special on the final day. Volunteer Carol Goering says that you can get quite a deal if you come on Sunday.
“So you can pick up a bag here or bring your own reusable bag and fill it up for $1 and you can get a great many books in a bag for a dollar,” says Goering.
The books are mostly donated but some are also old library books. Goering says that each day has been successful with an estimated thousand-plus books getting purchased each day. All the proceeds from the sale go back to the library.
The book sale hours for the Sunday are from 1:30-5.
