FREMONT - Last night's Board of Education meeting disclosed that there was more students involved this past summer in the Summer School Program than any previous year.
There were over 800 students involved, and about 590 hours were completed.
The program included everything from Camp Invention to Reading and Math, English Language Learning, and Drivers Education, all which allowed students to continue to earn credits toward High School graduation.
Superintendent of Fremont Public Schools, Mark Shepard, says the schools are always looking to make improvements in their summer school programs in attempts to best serve the students and families in Fremont.
