COLUMBUS - A man is hospitalized after a rollover accident early Friday morning.
The Columbus Police Department, Platte County Sheriff's Office and Columbus Fire and Recuse responded to the area of 3rd Ave and Lost Creek Parkway after receiving call from ONSTAR at 1:57 a.m.
Upon arrival authorities located a 2015 Corvette hidden 25 feet into a nearby cornfield and extracted 47-year-old Lee A. Lorentzen from the vehicle using the Jaws of Life.
Lorentzen was transported to Columbus Community Hospital where he has been treated for unknown injuries and released.
The Corvette was totaled as the airbags deployed in the vehicle, and police say Lorentzen was wearing a seatbelt.
Alcohol is suspected to have been a factor in the crash.
The incident is remains under investigation.
