Nebraska's participated in 17 Orange Bowls during its history. Road-tripping to Miami almost became a post-Christmas tradition for the Huskers and their fans.
Adidas wanted to highlight that fact this week - since NU's headed back to Miami for a Saturday showdown against the Hurricanes, who also just happen to be one of the program's long-time rivals.
Looks like the inside of the left shoe features a palm tree just above the classic “N” logo. The right shoe has 17 small “N” logos splattered around it (representing the Orange Bowl appearances).
As you might imagine, the Husker players approve of the new gear.
Miami's players will also be wearing their own custom cleats for Saturday's game.
