NORFOLK - Although city streets are mostly free of traffic before the noon hour, blizzard conditions are making travel nearly impossible throughout Norfolk and northeast Nebraska.
Cpt. Paul Hattan with the Nebraska State Patrol Troop B office in Norfolk tells News Channel Nebraska that the patrol is responding to as many accidents as possible, but conditions are making their response times a bit longer than usual. Cpt. Hattan adds that the patrol is also en route to a potential fatality accident south of Macy on Highway 75.
With snow and strong winds expected to continue through the afternoon, travel is not advised for most areas of eastern and northeastern Nebraska.
