COLUMBUS - The slick road conditions contributed to a car accident on Lost Creek Parkway Tuesday afternoon. A grey Honda convertible was heading east near the the 33rd Avenue intersection when it lost control around 2 p.m. “It started to slow down , lost control, spun sideways, hit the power pole, and nobody was injured,” Columbus Police Officer Charles Case explained. The pole was knocked across the roadway backing up traffic before a local resident helped moved it with construction equipment. Loup Public Power officials also responded to the scene and cut power to the pole to avoid any injury. The vehicles suffered an estimated $8,000 in damage.
