FREMONT - A Fremont man pled guilty to the possession of an illegal drug Tuesday morning in Dodge County District Court.
45-year-old Chris Hancock accepted a plea deal that found him guilty of Possession of a Controlled with Intent to Deliver - Methamphetamine, a Class IIA Felony.
According to court documents, on October 27th, 2015 Hancock's vehicle was observed swaying in the roadway, which lead to a routine traffic stop. A search was conducted of his vehicle where a glass pipe with white residue and a small baggy with meth was located in the center console.
The 45-year-old was arrested for Possession of a Controlled with Intent to Deliver and Driving Left of Center Lane.
Tuesday morning's plea agreement dropped his second charge, Driving Left of Center Lane.
The defendant's bond is set at $50,000 with a 10 percent option and a Pre-Sentence Investigation was ordered by Judge Geoffrey Hall.
The defendant is facing up to 50 years in prison.
Sentencing is set for March 7th at 9 a.m. in Dodge County Court.
