Pierce Girls Take Care of Business Against Lakeview

COLUMBUS - Despite a 19 point effort from Kayla Schrunk, Lakeview was unable to handle the undefeated Pierce Bluejays, falling 57-39. Pierce had a balanced offensive attack with eight players getting on the board Tuesday night. Senior Jaci Brahmer led the way for the Bluejays with 14 points, with Sidney Zimmerer chipping in nine. Pierce played dominant defense in the 1st quarter as Lakeview was only able to score four 1st quarter points. Lakeview's Shrunk took a hard fall in the 2nd quarter and was down for several minutes before getting up and going to the locker room. She would come back into the game later that quarter. Next up for the 13-0 Bluejays is a visit to D2 school Humphrey St. Francis, while Lakeview travels to Centennial on Friday.
