DAVID CITY - Two David City banks held open houses Friday to get people into the Christmas spirit as the holidays approach.
Union Bank & Trust held their open house from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. and served crackers, dip, sandwiches, cookies, cider and coffee. Union Bank & Trust was also giving residents a chance to win various prizes.
US Bank held their open house from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. and also served cookies, hot cider and coffee while also giving people a chance to win a poinsettia prize.
US Bank Manager, Pat Hilderbrand, thought an open house would be a good way to show customers that they are appreciated.
“Just to tell our customers thank you for coming in and being our customers for a year. We just want to acknowledge that we really appreciate their business and wanted to say thank you to them,” said Hilderbrand.
Bank of the Valley will be holding an open house of it's own from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on December 18.
