NORFOLK, NE - Late Saturday three teenagers caused thousands of dollars in damages as they wreak havoc across Woodland Park and Norfolk.
Shattered glass marked the spots where three teenagers took to the streets shooting out windows of numerous cars and seven windows on at least one house with a BB gun.
Two vans that are used to transport children at the Wesley Center Childcare and Preschool were also hit. The center's director, Michelle Lawson says that this ridiculous act has affected the children.
“I do have one van that I will be able to transport. I will probably have to have staff take their vehicles to transport until we can get the windows fixed in the vans.”
For the Wesley Center Childcare and Preschool, Its going to be a long two weeks without 2 of their 3 vans.
"With it being the Thanksgiving holiday, it will probably be another week before we can get them fixed."
According to Lawson the parents are upset over this type of silly mischief but know and trust that their children are in good hands.
Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger says the teenagers have been identified as 19-year old Justin Coolidge of Norfolk, 19-year old Dallas Smith of Norfolk and 18-year old Cheyenne Hutson of Norfolk. Unger says the three were arrested Sunday morning.
The three will make their initial court appearances on criminal mischief charges December 22nd in Stanton. Charges in Madison County are still pending.
